Jaaved Jaaferi is the son of Bollywood Veteran comedian Jagdeep. He is an extremely versatile performer who can act, host, dance, choreograph, sing and even dub for cartoon characters. Jaaved made his acting debut with Subhash Ghai’s film “Meri Jung”(1985). Jaaved Jaaferi and his friend Ravi Behl created and directed “India’s first dance reality show, Boogie Woogie” in 1997 which went on to become the longest running dance show in India.

In 2006 he received the IIFA Best Comedian Award for the movie Salaam Namaste. InshaAllah, a movie produced by Jaaved Jaaferi received National Film Award for Best Film on Social Issues. Pooja Batra is an Indian model and film actress, who was crowned “Miss India in the year 1993”. Thereafter, Pooja made her debut with the film “Virasat” (1997). Her role in the film gained her accolades such as a Zee Cine Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Filmfare nomination under the same category.

She was the first Indian face to launch and be a spokesperson for Head and Shoulders (a leading self care brand) in India. Her next films “Bhai” (1997), “Haseena Maan Jayegi” (1999) were also a box-office hit. She has appeared in many films since, such as “Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya” (2001), “Nayak: The Real Hero” (2001) and “Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story”(2005).
